Make Your Dialysis Treatments Less of a Chore

Research shows that workers who enjoy their jobs are more engaged in their activities while on the clock, leading to higher levels of creativity, better performance, and a greater overall sense of accomplishment.

As a dialysis patient, it's basically your "job" to attend your sessions and have a successful treatment. While dialysis will never be something enjoyable that you look forward to, it does not have to be a total bore. You can find ways to make the most of your time during treatments.

Below we've listed a few suggestions on how to spice up your dialysis treatments.:

You can spend your time in treatment listening to music, watching tv, playing mobile games such as Ludo, Township, Mahjong, etc, which can be downloaded to your phone, tablet, or computer. Watching YouTube is also a fun way to pass the time.

Reading a book, magazine or newspaper can also help pass the time. They can all also be downloaded to your computer or tablet. Reading keeps your mind sharp and agile, plus you'll be aware of all the current events that are going on in the world.

Pick up a new interest and use your treatment time to learn more about it. You may want to further your studies or learn a new language and you can easily do that work during your treatments. You'd be surprised at how quickly your treatment finishes.

Coloring is a very creative way to get through your treatments. Carry a coloring book with you or a sketchbook if you're into drawing. You can write in your journal, write letters or even text friends and family. If you're up for it you can consider writing a blog post for KidneyWarriorstt.com.
