Hi!!!!
Welcome to my blog post :) So let me tell you a little bit about myself and how I was diagnosed.... Ever since I knew myself I always had some problem. Whether it be asthma or acid reflux or just the plain old
flu. Finally though, when I started high school I was discharged from the Asthma clinic. Ahhh free at last I thought but not for long. In August, before my sweet 16 birthday, I was diagnosed with Lupus and Thyroids. Apparently its hereditary but it skipped two generations. Hmmm strange I would say. Why would I think it's hereditary? Because I soon found out that one of my cousins had it as well which made her lose her memory.
To be honest, my parents and I didn't have a meltdown but it seemed like my family did. When it comes to bad news they're very emotional and caring. Some years later I was working at a bank and one of my supervisors noticed that my ankles were swelling. She suggested that I should see what's going on. That's when I first found out that I had renal failure and my doctor wanted to start me on dialysis. My parents and I discussed it as we usually do anything because we're a close knit family. We decided that we would go the natural way and eat a lot of healthy foods even though we were already doing that. A few years later my doctors told me to keep on doing what I'm doing since they saw an improvement. It was going to be my golden birthday- 25 on October 25th when I realized that my pressure
was escalating and I mean like 184/121 etc.
Sadly cancelling my plans, I had to stay in the hospital where eventually the doctors told my parents if I don't do dialysis I will be dead. We finally agreed and was warned that I could still die because my heart was less than 15% and they had to run from one end of the hospital to the other to do emergency surgery and dialysis. I also wore the heavy mask which pumps oxygen into your body. I was also on life support many times.
It's only thanks to Jesus that I'm alive right now and feeling much better than before. Sure we all have our ups and downs but we placed our trust in Jesus and delivered just in time. Remember, His timing is not your timing but He will always deliver.
Well that's it for now until next time. Please have a blessed day and keep on praying and being positive!
